These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Food Waste Manager ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. Contact: hi@foodwastemanager.com.
You must be at least 16 years old (or 13 in the United States, with the involvement of a parent or guardian where required) to use the Service.
Food Waste Manager lets you track pantry items, receive AI-generated recipe suggestions, scan receipts and groceries, build grocery lists, and receive email reminders. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by: attempting to access other users' data; probing, scanning, or overloading our systems; uploading unlawful content; reverse engineering; or using the Service to violate any law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules.
You retain ownership of the content you add (pantry items, photos, lists). You grant us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the Service (including sending it to our AI and email providers as described in our Privacy Policy).
⚠️ Food safety disclaimer — please read. Expiry dates, "use soon" alerts, and shelf-life estimates in the Service are approximations for planning convenience only. They are not a guarantee that food is safe (or unsafe) to eat. Always use your own judgment, follow product labels and local food-safety guidance, and when in doubt, throw it out. We are not responsible for spoiled food, foodborne illness, or any loss arising from reliance on these estimates.
⚠️ AI & dietary disclaimer. Recipes and suggestions are generated by AI and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your needs. They are not medical, nutritional, or allergen advice. If you have allergies, dietary restrictions, or health conditions, verify every ingredient yourself and consult a qualified professional. You are responsible for safe food preparation.
Some features may be offered as a paid upgrade ("Premium"). Payments are processed securely by Stripe; by purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms. When Premium becomes available:
EU/UK consumers: for digital content and services supplied immediately, you may be asked to consent to immediate performance and acknowledge that this affects your 14-day right of withdrawal. Where the law grants you a refund or withdrawal right, we will honour it.
Refunds: except where required by law, payments are generally non-refundable. If you believe you were charged in error, contact hi@foodwastemanager.com.
The Service relies on third parties (e.g. OpenRouter, Resend, Stripe, Cloudflare, Open Food Facts). We are not responsible for their availability or actions, and their own terms may apply.
The Service, its design, and its software are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not grant you any rights in our trademarks or branding.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for spoiled food, missed reminders, or loss of data. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (including certain statutory consumer rights).
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or to protect the Service and its users.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in the EU/EEA or UK, you also benefit from any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide notice in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
